The Underwater Detective program is for Kids, Teens and Adults and is presented by the Underwater Archaeological Society of Chicago (UASC).
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Identifying the parts of a ship
- Discover clues about the wreck
- Watch a video of some of the shipwrecks in Lake Michigan
- Draw the shipwreck like a real underwater archaeologist
- Learn about the gear needed to go scuba diving when you are an underwater detective
- Discover why shipwrecks of the world are important to our history and our future
- Participants with receive a Certificate of Accomplishment from the Underwater Archaeological Society of Chicago (UASC)
- Handouts will include further information on underwater studies
- The video Explore Chicago Shipwrecks by UASC with 7 ships of the Great Lakes featured on the DVD
